MANAGER as COACH
Manager as Coach is an assessed and certificated training course endorsed by the Institute of Leadership Management (ILM). This course provides an excellent grounding to enable a Manager to become an effective Coach in the workplace. The course facilitators are Dr Barry Cripps, a Chartered Psychologist and Registered Psychologist, trainer, verifier, author and coach and Dorothy Spry a UK skills training award winner, verifier, author and coach.

Objectives of this programme:
- To train and coach any manager in the principles and practice of coaching for improved performance in the workplace.
- To provide opportunities for managers to practice coaching principles in a safe, confidential and trusting environment, until they are sufficiently confident to be able to act as an internal coach (or external as required).
- To assess participants in their own Emotional Intelligence, to work on their strengths and limitations in EI and to use their EI.
- To introduce and train managers to use a psychometric personality questionnaire (Eysenck Cripps Cook Occupational Scales) for the purpose of helping the Coachee understand themselves and how they can work more effectively with their people
- To introduce managers to the practice of Motivational Interviewing
- To introduce managers to a method of helping their Coachees interpret and work harmoniously with their own value set.
- To introduce and train managers in the principles and practice of Cognitive Behavioural Coaching
- To introduce managers to ways of evaluating their effectiveness as a coach in the workplace.
